Hospitality

“I was a stranger and you welcomed me.” (Mt. 25:35) – Hospitality is practiced at St. Ann’s through the practice of welcoming newcomers and visitors as well as building community among existing parishioners.

Community Building Activities: Building community among existing parishioners is another focus of the hospitality ministry.  Community building activities include those listed below.

  • Coffee and Doughnuts are available after the 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. Sunday Masses in the Parish Hall September through May.  Hosts make the coffee, serve the doughnuts, clean up and offer fellowship to all present.  Contact: Pam Zurn, 701-0198.
  • Annual Car Raffle is held each year.  This event is primarily a fund raiser for St. Ann’s School.  But more importantly, it is a great community building activity.  The evening begins with a dinner, followed by awarding over 32 prizes and dancing to some great music.  There is always a good turn-out for this fun-filled night.  Contact: St. Ann’s School Office, 375-4713.
  • Communications Committee: Keeping parishioners informed of scheduled events, announcements, and evolving ministries is the goal of the communication committee.  This committee is responsible for developing, updating and maintaining the Parish pamphlet and St. Ann’s Internet website.  A minimum of four trained Webmasters are required for weekly updates to the website with the weekly bulletin and other announcements.

Many volunteers are required in these areas.

St. Ann’s Parish Bulletin is published weekly.  Input to the bulletin should be submitted to the parish office by 10:00 am, Monday for inclusion the following weekend. During the holidays,  items must be submitted 2 weeks in advance. All bulletin items are subject to approval by the Pastor. Call the church office 375-4713, or email to church@parishofsaintann.org.
