Faith Formation

St. Ann’s is deeply committed to the continuous spiritual formation and education of the parish faithful. We are informed of the truths of Christ and the Church’s teaching through many forms of instruction: This instruction accompanies the reception of the sacraments, teaching we receive during the Mass in the Liturgy of the Word, formal classroom instruction in our CCD classes, scripture study with application to our daily living, and adult and youth groups that gather in small communities to connect every day life experiences with the Church’s story.

There are many resources at St. Ann Church to help you learn more about God and grow in your relationship with Him. Whether you are are simply seeking more information about Jesus Christ or or the Catholic faith or whether you wish to deepen your theological understanding of God and His relationship with us, there is something for everybody!

Programs for Adults

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA)

RCIA is an adult religious education program for those are are exploring the Catholic faith and/or wish to become Catholic. The first phase is called the “Inquiry” phase, typically lasts from October through December, wherein the nature of faith and the basics of Christian belief, doctrine and worship are examined and explained. At the end of the Inquiry phase, participants are given the opportunity to make a commitment to developing a deeper relationship with Christ and His Church. Those not ready or not wishing at that time to make such a commitment may continue the program of instruction without an intent to be received into the Church, or may retire from the program completely without explanation or justification.
