The purpose of the Saint Ann School Advisory is to assist the Pastor and the Principal in establishing goals, priorities and policies for Saint Ann School.
School Advisory Council Functions:
Goal Setting Function: The Council assists the Pastor and Principal in developing priorities and implementing long range educational goals for Saint Ann School.
Policy Making Function: The Council assists the Pastor and Principal in establishing local education policies for Saint Ann School in accord with diocesan policies and regulations. General policy areas include: school philosophy, administrative practices, personnel practices, student practices, instructional programs, fiscal management, public relations, facility maintenance and utilization and educational planning.

Meeting Schedule
The School Advisory Council meets on the last Monday night of each month, in the school library.
Meetings are open to all interested parties. Open Forum is available. Please call the school office at 375-4713 to have a topic placed on the open forum agenda, or sign up on the open forum registration page before the meeting starts.

2003/2004 Council Issues:
In addition to the usual policy and administration duties of the School Advisory Council, the Council has certain special project committees that each member works on during the school year.
Technology Committee
Goal - To maintain and improve all the classrooms and offices broadband internet connections.
Alumni Relations
Goal - to establish an alumni scoiety for the school, obtain membership to the society and send out a regular newsletter to keep our alumni informed about the latest happenings at Saint Ann School.
This committee has collected a lot of addresses and points of contacts for past graduates of Saint Ann School. They are currently working on the initial newletter, and a letter asking graduates to join the alumni association.
Development Committee
Goal - This committee is in charge of maintaining and expanding the development of Saint Ann School. They support and encourage the growth of the School Endowment Fund. The also have taken on the task of increasing the promotion of Saint Ann School.
The endowment fund was started 4 years ago, and while not progressing as fast as we would like, it is growing.
We have stepped up our advertising, with a new entry in the Chamber of Commerce Catalog and new yellow pages entries. A new school brouchure is being designed that will be made available at various points around town, like city hall, the chamber of commerce and the family housing center - on base.
