Parking Lot Procedures
The Chancery Office of the Diocese of Fresno has direced us to publish and enforce strict policies and procedures for the arrival and dismissal of school children. The following are the regulations for the 2004-205 school year. Please share this information with your children.
- Children, includeing middle school students, should not arrive on champus befroe 7:15 AM. Any child who arrives before 7:15 AM will need to attend the Extended Day Program (EDP) - if a child is not on an annual EDP contract, parents will be charged a fee of $2.50 per 15-minute increment. During the period from 7:15 AM to 7:30 AM, all elementary students who are on school grounds will remain in the supervised quad area. Middle School students will remain in the Middle School under a teacher's supervision. To avoid being tardy, children should be dropped off by 7:25 AM. Every child should be in the classroom ready to begin the day when the bell rings.
- Children may be dropped off in the main parking lot area in front of the school. Children may also be dropped off in the Middle School/Parish Center parking lot. After School, students will wait for rides in front of the south building between the School Office and the fifith grade classroom door. Middle School students and siblings of middle school students may wiat in front of the Middle School and Parish Center.
- Day Care Buses only will drop off and pick up children in the back parking lot. After school, children who ride these buses will wait on the benches in the quad for pick up. Parents may not drop off and pick up children from the back parking lot.
- Bike riders, rollerbladers and skateboarders are to arrive and leave school via the alley on the east side of the church. Middle school students must carefully walk thier bikes/rollerblades/skateboards in front of the sixth and eighth grade classrooms. No bike riding rollerblading or skateboarding is allowed on campus. Bikes must be locked. Children must wear a helmet.
- Children must be picked up no later than 15 minutes after dismissal. When children When children ar left on campus after this 15-minute period, students will be escorted to the Extended Day Program and parents will be chaged a fee of $2.50 per 15-minute session.
- PArking spaces in front of the south classroom building and the spaces directly in front of the Parish Center will not be used for student drop off or pickup becasue of the great potential for accidents when backing out of these spaces.
- Parents must pull into a parking space when dropping off or picking up children. Please release your parking space promply due to our limited number of parking spaces. Please do not leave your car unattended while the engine is running.
- Please do not disturb teachers who are on "parking lot duty". It is important that their primary focus be the parking lots and the departing students. Please make appointments to speak with teachers at a later time.
Your cooperation will minimize congestion and ensure the safety of your child(ren). Whit your help we will have another year free of parking lot accidents. Thank You.
