Dr. Seuss Week is Here!
If you can help make us cats before school on Tuesday, please stop by. Also, we welcome any Dr. Seuss books you would like to share with the class. Please put your child’s name in them so they may be returned to you next week.

Here’s What We Are Learning This Week
Every week I highlight what I am covering in class. This will give you an opportunity to talk with your child about specific subjects that we are covering. Not all topics are covered everyday. Be sure to always check to see what we are doing in 2nd Grade!
Reading –We are reading the story Why the Dinosaurs Disappeared?
Phonics – Reviewing prefixes and suffixes.
Writing – We are working on our own version of a Dr. Seuss story this week.
Grammar - Singular and plural nouns
Health - We will be visited by the CHAMPS Officer this week to discuss safety.
Math –We are working on fractions.
Spelling – Basic words this week have bossy r sounds.
Religion – This week we are learning about the Liturgy of the Word. This week we talk about John the Baptist.
Science – We are learning about how sounds are created from vibrations.
