Baptism Museum
As part of our preparation for the Sacraments, we are discussing Baptism this week. I would like to invite the students to participate in our “Baptism Museum.” It will be on Tuesday afternoon. Please take some time to talk to your child about their Baptism. They are welcome to bring an item or 2 to share with the class on Tuesday. This may include pictures or a memento. Please do not send fragile or priceless items. They can be brought in on Tuesday morning and will be returned at the end of the class day.
Student Council Projects
The student council has asked us to help them collect “Pounds for the Poor.” This means we will be collecting food to donate to the St. Vincent dePaul Society and weighing it. Please send in any donations with your child this week. Thank you.
Also, on Thursday, Nov. 19 we will be dressing in pink for the “Be thankful for our Health Day.” See the flier in the Monday Envelope for more details.
Christmas Project
I am in need of someone with computer skills who would be willing to retype up our Christmas Carol books. Some of the songs do not match the versions we have in our Music Issue for Mass. If you would be interesting in taking on this project (maybe you have the skills to dress it up a bit with a graphic or two) please let me know. I am happy to show you what I am wanting. Thanks!
Happy Monday 2nd Grade parents!
Hope you all have a Happy Thanksgiving! Our next big event in the class room will be the Christmas Party. Please join me in a meeting of the minds to plan this event. We will meet on Tuesday December 1st, 7pm at 627 Plum Blossom Ct. We don’t have as much time to plan this party due to the up coming holiday. Please, if you can’t make it to the meeting but you have some ideas, we would like to hear them. You can email me at delores_byrne@verizon.net or call me at 760-375-2551(HM), 760-371-5802(Cell).
And, let us not forget the second grade bake sale that will be Thursday Dec. 3rd. A reminder will come out in the November 30th Monday envelope as well.
Thank you,
Delores

Thanksgiving Message
Where has the time gone! I can’t believe we are just a week away from the holiday season. I want to take a moment to wish you the most blessed of holidays. I know as I sit down with my family, including future in-laws, this Thanksgiving, I will be thanking God for all he has given me in this past year. I am truly blessed to be at this school and working with you to teach your child. Thank you for that opportunity.
Have a safe and wonderful Thanksgiving!
