• H.E.A.R.T. Card News – The H.E.A.R.T. Card Sell-Off Contest begins next Monday. From November 9 through November 22, you have the opportunity to double your scrip profit earned during this contest if you are one of the top two sellers (highest amount of contribution earned) or the most improved scrip seller. Everyone has a chance to win (particularly if you start your Christmas shopping early!). Buy H.E.A.R.T. cards (scrip) and help the school!!

• Next Tuesday, November 10, we will have a Veterans Day celebration at 2:00 PM at the Parish Center. We invite any veterans who are part of our Saint Ann School community to join us in front of the flag pole at the Parish Center. Moms, dads, grandmas, grandpas, aunts, uncles, brothers and sisters are all invited to help us remember the contributions of members of our Armed Forces. If you let us know you are coming, we will read your name as part of our celebration (we will also try to gather as many names right before the ceremony begins to include last minute attendees). We are also looking for brave souls who are willing to say a few words to the students about their experiences as a member of the Armed Forces or anything about being a veteran in general. These remarks would be brief, but they would add a great deal to the students’ understanding of the sacrifices made by these dedicated men and women. If you are interested, please contact the school office or 3rd Grade teacher, Mrs. McDonald.

• The Holiday Bazaar is fast approaching, and final preparations are underway! Mrs. Hastings needs 6 people per 2-hour shift on Friday and Saturday in the kitchen. If you have not signed up yet, please sign up on the enclosed flier. (Thank you for being flexible if you do not receive your first choice in work assignments.) This is a wonderful way to get in the holiday spirit (it even smells like Christmas!) and earn parent hours, and you do not need to be Safe Environment cleared to work. This event is budgeted to raise several thousand dollars for the education of your children. We are excited about having the Scholastic Book Fair again this year during the Holiday Bazaar – this event helps us add books to our school library.

Please look for a flier advertising the Holiday Bazaar in this week’s Monday Envelope. We would appreciate your help in posting this in your place of business, sharing it with a friend, etc. Please remove the flier after the event. We want to be responsible in our dealings with the Ridgecrest community.

• Middle School girls’ volleyball teams will close out their season with a game against Wallace on Tuesday and a tournament in Trona on Saturday. Please come cheer for the teams!

• Please look for a Car Raffle flyer in your Monday Envelope. The organizers need help stuffing envelopes for the Car Raffle mailing tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:30 PM in the School Library. Earn Parent Hours!

• Our display of Halloween pumpkins last week was remarkable! I hope this was a fun project for your family.

• Please return all at-home Holiday Bazaar craft projects for Michelle Blubaugh by tomorrow. Last craft meeting is tomorrow from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM in the Parish Library. Earn Parent Hours!

• Remember to pick up your pre-ordered pies today, Tuesday & Wednesday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM.

• If you plan to order Advent candles or wreathes (the order form went home last week), please submit your order by tomorrow. We have sold out of candles so need to know exactly how many more to order.
