Here are the instructions on how to complete your book reports for 4th Quarter. On every book report, rough or final, you must have your name and student number, the date, the author of the book, the title of the book, the copyright date, and the book's lexile number. You may do the book reports in any order you like.
Turn in a rough draft and label it as such at the top of your report. Please incorporate necessary changes for your final copy. Final copies may be typed or written in cursive in pen or pencil. Please include each rough draft(s) with your final copy. (Final copy goes on top) Be sure to check your final copy for the above requirements as well as spelling, grammar, punctuation, neatness, etc.
Don't forget that you need to take (2) reading quizzes (a combination of Reading Counts in the classroom or Bookadventure.com at home) from two of the four books you will read this quarter. You may take additional quizzes.
- Construct a diorama (three dimensional scene which includes moels of people, buildings, plants, animals, etc) of one of the the main events of the book. Include a written description (minimum six complete sentences) of the scene.
- Make three posters (8 1/2 X 11) about the book using two or more of the following media: paint, crayons, chalk, ink or colored pencils. Include a one to two sentence caption explaining each poster.
- Make a timeline of all theajor events (a minimum of 5 events) in the book. (Review p. 99 in your scoial studies textbook to review using timelines.)
- Choose five "artifacts" from the book that best illustrate the happenings and the meanings of the story. Tell why you chose each one. (For example. the tea/cups in The View from Saturday)

3rd report due: May 13 (Friday)
4th report due: May 20 (Thursday)
