Science Fair Project
My group and I had to come up with twelve different ideas. My classmates and I narrowed it down to three then to our project, The Effects of Lima Beans in Different Soils. My group and I decided to use plain dirt, manure, and potting soil. Dirt would be our control. My group and I took a little longer to get our supplies then the other groups. Our intended time of the project was to be two weeks but ended up to one and a half weeks. We watered the plants once a day with a 200 milliliter beaker. My group and I continued our observations for the next two and a half weeks.
After the two weeks were over, all the students created their display boards. Most of the students used paint on their boards. (I did.) We were required to have our boards completed and have them at the Parish Center by the end of class to be judged the next day.
The judging commenced. One by one, classmates proceeded down to be judged in alphabetical order. When I had to go down for my judging, I was a little nervous. In the beginning you have to wait for what seems like an hour. Then they call you in. I had to explain my board to one judge and earlier the whole class. I didn't get a place but that is okay. I had fun working with a group. The project was seen on February 15, 2007 in the Parish Center.St. Ann School, 446W. Church St., Ridgecrest, CA 93555. 760-375-4713
