Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia

For the science fair this year, I chose to do a science research project. It was on Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia, a type of cancer that is fatal if not discovered soon enough. This tpe of leukemia tends to appear in children between the ages of five to seven. It also appears in adults as well. I also learned that the survival rate is generally higher for children than it is for adults. This is what I learned about cancer.

  1. Cancer is not an inherited disease.
  2. Cancer is a malignant disease.
  3. There are many types of treatments for cancer.
  4. Many people tend to be scared of people with cancer because they think it is contagious, but it's not.
