Weekly Notes from the Principal's Desk. . .

• Here's the latest on the Luau / Casino Night:
  • This event is fun for the entire family-a great dinner for all, casino for the adults, and games for children!
  • The menu includes deep pit pork, turkey, and beef, along with a variety of side dishes.
  • The prize structure has been revised from last year so that more people will have the opportunity to win something.
  • As you will see on the back of this newsletter, we have an additional raffle prize - a beautiful gas grill donated by the Haddock family.
  • Some of you have already signed up to work at the Luau / Casino Night on May 21. Room Mothers have been calling parents to fill all the shifts with the needed workers. If you would like to volunteer but haven't yet been called, please call the Room Mother in your child's class. These are the only parent hours that may still be counted as part of this year's obligation.
  • Please don't forget to return all money and unsold raffle and dinner tickets to the School Office by tomorrow, May 17. Please try your best to sell the raffle tickets - tell people about the grill prize!

• Our annual Athletics Celebration will be on Tuesday, May 17, at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center. If your child played basketball or volleyball this year, mark your calendars for this date. Coaches, players, and players' families are welcome to join us for this celebration. Cake and punch will be provided. Please remember to return your uniforms either at this event or to the office (trophies will only be handed out to players who have returned their uniforms).

• The SchoolPop 'Supply & Earn' Program envelopes were sent home in last week's Monday Envelope. If you are interested in purchasing your supplies for next year through this program, you may either do so manually (by filling out the information, enclosing a check, and returning it to the School Office by next Tuesday) or on-line. Please call the School Office if you have any questions.

• There will be opportunities over the summer to earn parent participation hours for next year. We need help with the Fireworks Booth (the week of July 4th) and in the School Library (data input, labeling, shelving, etc.). There will be a sign-up sheet in the School Office in the next few weeks for the Fireworks Booth. If you would like to help with the School Library, please contact Mrs. Rockdale at 375-4713 or Cell 793-6642.
