May 2, 2005

  • I invite all of you to our 2nd annual Ice Cream Social this Thursday at 6:30 PM in the Parish Center. Several of the classes will provide entertainment as we sit back, enjoy a treat, and visit with other Saint Ann families. There will be a short election of PTG officers for next year. Please help us welcome new families who are enrolling their students in the fall.

  • The new Dennis Uniform catalog is enclosed in this Monday Envelope. Dennis Uniforms will be here on Friday, Aug 26th (which is the Friday after school starts). Jenny Hunsaker will have our used uniforms available for purchase during this week's Ice Cream Social. Used shorts, skorts, and pants sell for $5.00 each. Used white polo shirts sell for $3.00 each. Or . . . bring one of your used uniforms to trade.

  • Our PTG President Vic Walkling is stepping down after several years of service. We very much appreciate his leadership and vision in helping PTG meet its financial obligation to support the school. He has asked those who would like to be considered for any office next year to contact me by Wednesday to be put on the ballot for elections during the Ice Cream Social.

  • Location change for Desert Community Orchestra Concert this Friday! The concert will be held at Burroughs High School (instead of on base like we originally expected).

  • We have a correction to make to the students who sold over 40 cookie dough items and will get to enter the Money Grab machine on May 6 are: Samantha Harrison (4th Gr.), Shannon Stephenson (6th Gr.).

  • Masterpiece Cookie Dough items will be delivered this Friday to the Parish Center. Since these are frozen items and we do not have room in the Parish Center freezer, it is essential that you make arrangements to pick up your orders on Friday from 2:00 PM (right after the students finish in the Money Grab machine) until 4:00 PM in the Parish Center.

  • It's already May-and that means that the Luau / Casino Night is in just a few weeks. This event is a great deal of fun for both participants and volunteers. Thank you for selling the tickets that you received in last week's Monday Envelope. You may request additional tickets at the School Office. With everyone's participation, this event has the potential to take the place of several of our smaller fundraisers. If you have not sold all your tickets by May 17th, please bring the unsold tickets and the money for the sold tickets to the Miss Rossi in the School Office. Because every class has the responsibility of providing workers, room mothers will be calling you shortly to ask for your help. For those of you who did not meet your obligation for parent participation hours, this is your last opportunity to do so for this year.

  • The 16th Annual Saint Ann Basketball Tournament begins on Thursday and concludes on Saturday with an awards ceremony at 4:00 PM. Our first games are on Thursday. Our boys will play at 5:00 PM and our girls will play at either 4:00 PM or 6:00 PM. Please come cheer for our 5th Grade boys and girls.

  • Remember that Albertson's Scrip / Debit Card (4%) is now available for purchase. You may use it to purchase gasoline. Even though you have to pay inside (as opposed to paying at the pump), it is worth it for 4% profit! You may also use it to purchase prescriptions. Also, Walgreens has scrip (2%).

  • We still have some frozen fish available if you would like to purchase some at our cost of $2.59/lb.

  • Reminders-
    • 11:30 AM Dismissal today for teacher planning day.
    • Cookie dough orders need to be picked up on Friday, May 6 (2:00PM to 4:00PM).
    • Late registration forms and fees are still being accepted.
