Weekly Notes from the Principal's Desk. . .
April 25, 2005
- Masterpiece Cookie Dough sales are now over. Thanks to Mrs. Metcalf, her helpers, and all the students and families who sold these products, Saint Ann School earned over $4,400! Students who sold over 40 items and will get to enter the Money Grab machine on May 6 are: Brandon Hunsaker (1st Gr.), Robert Duncan (3rd Gr.), Collette Roberto (5th Gr.) and Jerry Tuipala (5th Gr.). The items will be delivered to the school for you to pick up on Friday, May 6.
- Re-Registration for next school year was fantastic! It looks like our enrollment will increase! Please continue to encourage your friends, neighbors, co-workers, and acquaintances to consider enrolling in our wonderful school!
- The deadline for earning your Parent Participation Hours is this Sunday, May 1. Please come to the School Office by this Friday at 2:00 PM to record your hours in the parent participation book. (Any hours worked on the weekend up thru Sunday, May 1, need to be recorded by noon on Monday, May 2.) The only hours that will be accepted after that date are for parents who work at the Luau / Casino Night and First Communion Reception. Please be very specific when recording hours. If your entry is vague, you run the risk of it not being counted.
- In today's Monday Envelope, you are receiving an envelope containing tickets for our last big fundraiser for the year--the Luau / Casino Night on May 21. There is a dinner ticket (which your family can purchase or sell), and there is a book of five raffle tickets. We ask that you make every effort to sell these because our hope is that this event can grow and eventually replace several smaller fundraisers. If you are not able to sell or buy these tickets, please return them to the School Office by May 17th so that Miss Rossi can keep track of which tickets numbers are un-sold. Room mothers will be receiving the list of helpers needed, and they will be making calls to fill these spots soon. If you did not make your parent hours for this school year, hours worked at the Casino can still be counted to lessen your financial responsibility. Thank you to Greg Perry for again being willing to chair this enjoyable event.
- 5th Grade basketball game this week (our last game of the regular season!) ….
Boys - Tuesday, April 26 4:15 PM vs. Faller at Kerr-McGee Center
- Check out our school website (designed and maintained by David Cordes) at www.school.parishofsaintann.org
- May 5 is our annual Ice Cream Social in the Parish Center at 6:30 PM. Many of the classes will be performing for your enjoyment. We hope to see you there!
- At the Ice Cream Social, we will hold elections for PTG officers for next year. If you are interested in running for an office or in nominating someone else, please contact Mrs. Little.
- Remember that Albertson's Scrip / Debit Card (4%) is now available for purchase!
- Do you like the delicious fish that we serve at the parish Fish Fry Dinners? We have some that was never taken out of the freezer, and we'd like to sell it at cost to anyone who would like some. You may buy as much or as little as you'd like for only $2.59/lb. Again, this is frozen fish, and it has never been thawed. Contact the School Office if you are interested.
- The deadline is fast approaching (May 1) to record your Parent Participation Hours in the parent participation book in the School Office. The only hours that will be accepted after that date are for parents who work at the Luau / Casino Night or the First Communion Retreat and First Communion Reception. Please be very specific when recording hours. If your entry is vague, you run the risk of it not being counted. Check the list on p. 28 of the Parent and Student Handbook to see examples of activities that may be counted for parent hours.
