April 11, 2005

  • We want to send our best wishes to our Science Fair winners - Aurora Ostrom, Amanda Cordes, Alex Morris, Jamie Vigil, and Rebecca Kandell. They will be traveling to Bakersfield to set-up for and compete in the Kern County Regional Science Fair on Wednesday.

  • We would like to thank E-Z Rents for the loan of the big screen TV on which students were able to watch a re-broadcast of Pope John Paul II's funeral on Friday. Saint Ann Parish will have a funeral Mass for the pope this evening at 5:30 PM

  • With registration underway, I would like to remind you that you are our best method of recruitment for new families. Please discuss Saint Ann School with your family, friends, and acquaintances. Share with them about our educational program, positive environment, and co-curricular opportunities. Increasing our enrollment would benefit the school and improve its financial strength.

  • Please understand that we would never want Saint Ann School families to not be able to attend because they cannot afford tuition. Tuition assistance applications are available in the School Office. Completed forms are due tomorrow, Tuesday, April 12!

  • 5th Grade basketball games this week:
Boys - Tuesday, April 12 5:15 PM vs. Inyokern at Kerr-McGee Center

  • There will be a PTG meeting on Thursday, April 17, at 7:00 PM in the School Library. Please join us as we discuss the Luau / Casino Night that is scheduled for May 21. We will also discuss the PTG offices that need to be filled for next year.

  • There will be an informational meeting for parents of 5th grade students and anyone else interested on Tues., April 19, at 7:00 PM in Room 6/7 of the Middle School. Parents will learn about the Middle School program at Saint Ann School and discuss how to help their children make a smooth transition.

  • Look for the blue sheet with information about a new organization, the Saint Ann Music Boosters, in this Monday Envelope. This group is being organized to support our growing music program.

  • Speaking of music, if you go to 5:30 PM Mass this coming Saturday, you will see some familiar faces. SASSY will be providing the music as we worship together.

  • The yearbook order form is enclosed in this Monday Envelope. The order form is due on April 22. (Later orders can still be filled, but they will cost $3.00 more.)
