Weekly Notes from the Principal's Desk. . .
June 1, 2004
- Many thanks to all of you for your help this school year. Thank you for your commitment to your children and to Saint Ann School. You have helped us to be successful in our efforts to educate and form children in a loving faith community. A Catholic Christian education and upbringing are priceless gifts you give your children.
- The academic calendar for the 2004/2005 school year and school supply lists were included in last week's Monday Envelope. If you need extra copies of these items, please stop by the office this week.
- Based on an interest-survey sent out a few ago, we are pleased to announce that we will have an Extended Day Care Program this coming 2004/2005 school year. Enclosed you will find a form regarding the Extended Day Care Program. It is very important that you complete this form before the end of school so that we can contact you by phone/mail with specific information about it.
- Thank you Student Council members Patrick Lilly, Mary Champeny, Maggie Marvin and Jessica Vigil for a great school-wide scavenger hunt. Everyone had a great time! Everyone got treats and the winning team won a gift certificates to Baskin and Robbins.
- Wednesday (tomorrow) is Sports Day. Students are welcome to wear comfortable summer clothes, such as shorts and t-shirts/tank tops. Sleeves must be at least three adult fingers wide. Sandals, halter necks, bare midriffs, plunging necklines, and excessively short hemlines are not allowed. Denim shorts are acceptable. Be forewarned that students may play some water games, such as a sponge-carrying relay race. Females are allowed to wear a one-piece bathing suit under their sports clothes.
- Scrip-for-Fireworks information is enclosed! This is a great win-win for everyone. Our school earns money and you earn 5% of your purchases toward your scrip obligation. Also, we really need more help in the fireworks booth.
- Dennis Uniform will be on campus on Friday, September 10, 2004.
- Please pick up any medication that is in the school office.
- If you are interested in middle school (Grades 5-7) math tutoring or Language Arts (Grades K- 5) tutoring over the summer, see the enclosed flyer.
- Tuition Payments - The last day of school is very busy in the School Office. Miss Rossi would appreciate final tuition payments be brought in (or sent in) by this Thursday if possible. She promises to not deposit any tuition checks until Friday, Jun 4. Thank you.
- Should you need to reach any of us over the summer, please leave a message on the school telephone number, 375-4713. We will check our voicemail weekly over the summer break.
- Good luck to all our teachers and our 8th Grade students who will be moving on to new adventures next year.
- Have an absolutely wonderful, peaceful and safe summer break. See you on Monday, August 23, 2004!
