Weekly Notes from the Principal's Desk. . .
May 24, 2004
- I am sorry to announce that Mrs. Kristi Myers, our Library Aide, will not be returning next fall.
Mrs. Myers has been a valuable addition to our library staff, and she has logged countless hours entering, labeling, shelving, and repairing books. Although financial considerations have necessitated this decision, we will miss her greatly.
- Please join us tonight at 7:00 PM in the school library for the last Advisory Council Meeting of the school year.
- In today's Monday Envelope you will find a copy of your student's supply list for next year. We provide this to you in case you want to beat the last minute rush to purchase school supplies.
- You will also find enclosed the Academic Calendar for the 2004-2005 school year. One significant change will occur during the week of Thanksgiving. The Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday before Thanksgiving have been scheduled as teacher in-service days. Although teachers will be on duty, students will have this time off. Sierra Sands Unified School District has implemented this change, and we followed suit in an effort to lessen the impact on families with children in both school systems.
- At this time we would like to invite you to attend the promotion ceremony for our Eighth Grade students on Friday, June 4. The program will begin at 10:30 AM and last about an hour.
- Our final Rosary at the Grotto for the month of May will be this Wednesday, at 7:30 AM. Please join us.
