Weekly Notes from the Principal's Desk. . .
May 17, 2004
- Our Luau Deep Pit Dinner & Casino Night was a hit! Everyone had a wonderful time. Thank you to chairperson Greg Perry for his many hours of planning and to all parents who volunteered to help make this fundraiser a success. As soon as we get a final count, we will let you know how much money this event raised.
- Our annual Saint Ann/Knights of Columbus Fifth Grade Basketball Tournament took place last weekend. Congratulations to the Gateway boys who won first place and to the Gateway girls who won first place. Congratulations to our girls who placed second, losing in the very exciting championship game to Gateway! Immanuel girls and Inyokern boys won the sportsmanship trophies. Congratulations to our winners of the “All-Tournament Player” trophies: Jay Gifford, Jarrod May, Eve Christman and Michaela Hogan.
- Our annual Athletics Celebration will be on Thursday, June 3, at 7:00 PM in the Parish Center. If your child played basketball or volleyball this year, mark your calendars for this date. Coaches, players, and players' families are welcome to join us for this celebration. Cake and punch will be provided. Please remember to return your uniforms either at this event or to the office (trophies will only be handed out to players who have returned their uniforms).
- The new Parent Participation Log pages for the 2004-2005 school year are now in the binder in the School Office. You may start logging your hours worked since May 2, 2004 for next year. Be sure keep track of hours worked over the summer (i.e. if you work the Fireworks booth) and enter them as soon as school begins next school year. Remember, if you needed to count hours worked at the Luau Deep Pit Dinner & Casino Night for the 2003-2004 obligation, you will need to see Miss Rossi in the School Office.
- Vacation Bible School “Son Games 2004” will be taking place June 14th - 18th in the Parish Center from 8:00 am until 12 noon. Send your children for a week of sporting fun! It is not too late to register. Please pick up a registration form in the School Office or see Mrs. Miller for details.
