• We had a wonderful Catholic Schools Week. Thank you for your support of our celebration. We had beautiful Family Art Projects from several families. The Essay Contest entries were wonderful … winners will be announced early this week. Thank you to all staff members and families for their participation in the week's activities

• Thank you for a successful Car Raffle. Many thanks to Karl & Ann Ettling and Pat & Mark Backes for their tireless work coordinating the event! Congratulations to the first place winners … the Schumacher family! We had a wonderful evening of good food and fellowship.

• Our Middle School basketball teams had exciting games against Trona last week. We won both games!! This week we have a game with the Charter School on Tuesday, February 3 at the CCCC gym. The girls game is at 3:30pm and the boys game is at 4:30pm. Please join us!

• There will be a PTG meeting on Thursday, February 5, 7:00 PM in the School Library. A presentation regarding the Gesell Test will be given by Mrs. Emily Miller, our Kindergarten teacher. We are currently accepting applications for the 2004-2005 Kindergarten class. If you know of anyone who has children who are going into Kindergarten this coming school year, please bring them along! There will be time for questions and answers, and a tour of the classroom if anyone is interested.

• Olan Mills Church Directory signups are still available. There is no charge to you or the church for having your portrait taken. You will receive a free 8 x 10 portrait and a free Parish Directory. You are under no obligation to have your portrait included in the directory or to buy additional photos. Our goal is 100% participation. If you have not yet signed up, please come into the office as soon as possible to do so. Dates still available for portraits to be taken are: Feb 10 thru Feb 14.

• Presidents' Day weekend is coming up. There will be no school on Friday, February 13, and Monday, February 16.

• Masterpiece Cookie Dough Fundraiser is in the works. We will be selling during Lent but delivery will not be until after Lent. Tentative dates for this popular fundraiser are March 22 (start selling), April 7 (turn in orders), April 23 (orders delivered Flex Friday).

• Our Middle School girls and boys basketball teams have their first two games this week. Their first game vs. Charter is today, Monday. The girls play at 3:30 PM and the boys play at 4:30 PM. Both games are at the Cerro Coso Community College Gym (on your right hand side as you approach the college). On Tuesday vs. Murray, the girls play at 3:30 PM and the boys play at 4:30 PM in the Monroe Gym. Please join us!
