Weekly Notes from the Principal's Desk. . .

January 5, 2004

  • Happy New Year and welcome back! We hope that you had a wonderful Christmas, and we wish you many blessings and good health in this New Year.

  • We especially welcome back Mrs. Emily Miller, our wonderful kindergarten teacher. Mrs. Miller was at home during the month of December recuperating from surgery. I'm sure she is grateful for all of your prayers and good wishes.

  • Our fifth and eighth graders will be taking the Assessment of Catholic Religious Education (ACRE) during the week of Jan. 12-16. The ACRE is published by the National Catholic Education Association and is administered in order to help us review the extent of the religious education knowledge of our students. The results of this assessment help us to monitor and evaluate our religious education program.

  • There is a PTG meeting this Thursday, January 8, at 7:00 PM in the school library. Please join us to discuss the successful Holiday Bazaar and the upcoming Car Raffle (January 31).

  • Catholic Schools week begins on Sunday, January 25. We have wonderful plans, including a family project, service projects, Spirit Day and much more. As part of our efforts to showcase our wonderful school, we have decided to hold our yearly Open House during Catholic Schools Week instead of in May. Open House will be on Thursday, January 29. More information to come!

  • Reminder: Tuition is due no later than Saturday, January 10.

  • Thank you so much for all that you do to support and promote Saint Ann School. We are truly blessed to have such active, caring parents as part of our Saint Ann family.
