Weekly Notes from the Principal's Desk. . .

November 10, 2003

  • I hope you all had a restful Veterans' Day holiday weekend. It is so important for us to take time to remember the members of the Armed Forces, past and present, who have dedicated themselves to preserving our freedom and freedom for people around the world. As you have seen on the bulletin board next to the Blessed Sacrament Chapel, many of our families have loved ones currently serving in the military. Our prayers and appreciation mean a great deal to them.

  • The ITBS training for the teachers was very helpful. We have finally received our standardized test results (not as quickly as we had hoped, of course). We will send home students' results in next week's Monday Envelope (Nov. 17).

  • The Holiday Arts and Crafts Show is next week, Nov. 21-23. There are still many ways you can help make this a success. First of all, please encourage all your friends to attend. There truly is something for everyone. Workers are still needed in the kitchen, for setup/clean-up, etc. Contact Kathy Schumacher or the school office if you would like to volunteer.

  • Don't forget that our Scholastic Book Fair will also begin next week on Wednesday, Nov. 19.

  • The PTG meeting is this Thursday, Nov. 13, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will be in the school library rather than the Parish Center because of a scheduling conflict.

Have a wonderful week!
