6th Grade
Language Arts-Students are learning about the different functions of nouns. They are also practicing for their performance of Macbeth.
Social Studies- Students will continue the study of religion in China.
Science- Students will take their Ch 5 test today. Their next unit will be on ecology.
Math- Students are finishing Unit 6 this week. They will take the second quiz in the unit today, review for the test tomorrow, and take the test on Thursday. All homework from Unit 6 is due Tuesday 2/24.
Religion-Students created wonderful representations of the Ark of the Covenant and the Ten Commandments. This week they will focus on how they live the commandments today.

7th Grade
Language Arts-Students are learning about pronouns-person, number, and case. They will memorize the subject and object pronouns this week. They are preparing their PowerPoint presentation on their outside reading book.
Social Studies- Students will prepare for a test on Ch 10 on Thursday. Their next unit that they will study is on the Renaissance.
Science-Students will prepare for a test on Ch 14 on Wednesday. Students will begin their study of “Fishes, Amphibians, and Reptiles.”
Math-Students will work on solving word problems using information from graphs and tables. This is their last lesson of the unit. Their Unit 6 test will be given on Monday 2/23. All homework for Unit 6 is due Friday 2/27.
Religion- Students will study Chapter 24, Sin and Mankind.
Spanish- Students will learn more familiar expressions using the verbs trabajar, estudiar, and saber.

8th Grade
Language Arts-Students are learning the subjective, objective and possessive cases of pronouns. They will memorize the subject and object pronouns this week. They should be finishing Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.
Social Studies- Students will wrap up study on the West this week by learning about the impact that gold in the West had on the Californios and the California Indians.
Science- Students will prepare for a test on Ch 5 on Wednesday. The next unit that they will study will be on Gravity.
Math- Students are continuing to work in Ch 7 this week by reviewing lesson 2 on solving systems of equations by substitution. They will also learn to solve for these systems by elimination using addition and subtraction.
Religion-Students will continue to study the saints during the second thousand years of the Church. They will learn about the various problems presented to the Church during this time period, one of them being the Protestant Reformation.
Spanish- Students will learn more familiar expressions using the verbs trabajar, estudiar, and saber.

Middle School Basketball Games
The time has changed for this Thursday's game against Immanuel (girls game only). They need to start the game at 3:45pm instead of at 4:00pm
